Join our next early years Open Day
At Collège Champittet, our culture of lifelong learning includes our teachers just as much as our students. Learning doesn’t stop when we leave the classroom or when the school day ends – it’s an ongoing process of discovery, enabling us to develop our skills and expertise.
For our teachers, this means engaging in professional development opportunities to stay on top of the latest learning trends and exchange experiences with fellow educators. As part of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, we benefit from fantastic resources and the shared expertise of leading schools across Europe.
Our Pedagogical Days give our teachers and staff a chance to learn more about current education topics from guest speakers. In March, while our Champittet students were on holiday, we held a Pedagogical Day focusing on two vital topics: metacognition (learning how to learn) and mental health. Emily Murphy (from Nord Anglia Education) presented strategies to help students better understand and regulate their learning, while Dr Michelle Wright, Carole Bovat and Steve Derendinger (from Health First) highlighted the warning signs of anxiety and depression among children and teens, and the importance of early intervention.
In March, Collège Champittet also hosted Nord Anglia Education’s Europe Regional Academic Conference. This event brought together leaders, thinkers and educators from our network of seventeen premium schools in Europe. Over three days, we shared experiences and explored new approaches in a variety of topics, including safeguarding and pastoral care; metacognition; intercultural and bilingual leadership; mitigating the impact of modern technology on students; second language learning; curriculum design and implementation; and using AI for study skills.
Despite taking place behind the scenes, these professional development activities are key to ensuring that we provide our students with the best support and resources possible. It’s part of how we deliver a complete education – one that not only transmits knowledge, but prepares students to flourish and successfully navigate the challenges of life!
We are proud to announce that Collège Champittet has once again been ranked among the 100 leading private schools in the world by the Spear’s Schools Index!
At Collège Champittet, our annual Career Day gives students a valuable opportunity to meet professionals from diverse industries and explore their future goals.
On 15 March 2025, music lovers at Collège Champittet were treated to an exceptional concert by Franco-Italian mezzo-soprano Lea Desandre and French lutenist Thomas Dunford.
