UNICEF
Our collaboration with UNICEF challenges both students and teachers to think about how they can make a meaningful, positive impact on the world around them. This includes embedding the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in our teaching and learning, using materials developed by UNICEF. Our students also take part in an annual Global Challenge, as well as local outreach opportunities in our community.

Sports
A healthy body cultivates a healthy mind, and we encourage all our students to take part in regular sport and physical activity. After-school clubs range from Taekwondo, archery, and Thai boxing to volleyball, basketball, and football, while Tennis Club Champittet offers the highest standard of professional coaching. Your child will make the most of our stunning natural surroundings, too, kayaking and paddleboarding on Lake Geneva, and skiing in the Alps.

The arts
The arts enrich our students’ education, and we’ll encourage your child to express their creativity from an early age. Whether it’s singing, acting, or dancing, our students benefit from a world-class performing arts experience through our collaboration with The Juilliard School. Science and technology
Our STEAM activities – enhanced by our collaboration with MIT – reimagine learning in new and extraordinary ways, feeding our students’ curiosity and igniting their imaginations. At our coding club, for example, students use the latest software to programme machines, games, and animations. Truly unique activities, like our ‘big builders’ and ‘Innov-entrepreneurs’ clubs, encourage our students to think critically and solve problems.

Students of all ages discover the world on overnight trips that teach them about themselves and others, and give them a sense of independence.

For many students, our residential trips are their highlight of the year. Both in Switzerland and abroad, your child will enjoy a variety of immersive overnight expeditions that add an exciting element to their education.

Our older day and boarding students travel the world on international adventures to Europe, Asia, and Africa. From conquering Mount Kilimanjaro to supporting Collège Champittet Foundation projects in Thailand and Madagascar, our students develop a sense of self, become increasingly independent, and learn to overcome challenges.

Trips to Europe include a spiritual retreat in Rome, the chance to delve into London’s history, and explorations of ancient Greece. Our location close to the French and Italian borders enables our boarding students to enjoy regular weekends away, too.

Local activities

We organise a wide range of educational trips around Lausanne and Nyon. Each activity is carefully planned to broaden horizons and add a real-world perspective to your child’s learning.

These include pre-school visits to the farm, where our children harvest fruit, meet the animals, and learn all there is to know about local flora and fauna. Our younger learners also explore the beautiful UNESCO site of Lavaux, where they enjoy train rides, a forest walk, and spectacular landscapes.

On both our Pully and Nyon campuses, our Forest School immerses our children in the sights and sounds of our environment. They exercise, explore, invent, initiate, and dream, as they connect with nature and develop a host of transferable skills.

Older students visit the Lausanne synagogue as part of their religious culture programme, and learn about diplomacy, international relations, and decision-making at Model United Nations events around Europe. They also enjoy trips to local museums like Platform 10, which is a hub of European culture.

Skiing
Students of all ages and abilities head to the slopes on day and residential trips into the mountains.

Skiing

Skiing is an important aspect of Swiss culture, and we encourage all our students to learn, hone their skills, and grow in confidence.

Every Wednesday, our Grade 6-12 students spend time sliding, slaloming, and speeding through the mountains. Our boarders make the most of winter weekends, too, hitting the slopes during the season.

We also organise an annual ski camp for students in Grades 7-12. Working with qualified instructors, our students ski and snowboard, throw themselves into team-building activities, and learn important life-skills.

We have an outstanding pastoral care team, which includes a psychologist, nurse, and safeguarding experts. Specialist coaches, tutors, mentors, mediators, boarding house parents, and a priest provide the additional guidance our students need to feel valued, confident in themselves, and equipped to succeed.

Innovative approaches – like our open-air Forest School programme – boost our students’ social, emotional, and physical wellbeing. And on our Global Campus learning platform, your child will have access to a wealth of specialist tools and resources.

SUMMER LEADERSHIP CAMP

TAKING THE LEAD

Looking to develop your leadership skills and create lifelong memories? Then our Summer Leadership Camp is for you. Taking place during the school holidays, our camp offers outdoor activities, workshops, and games that build confidence, encourage teamwork, and hone a variety of skills. We offer day and residential programmes for 11 to 17-year-olds, guided by a team of specialists.
