BSB Shunyi’s ‘Beyond Infinity’ team again won an award at the 2022 Botball Global Conference last weekend! The team formed by Year 8 Austin and Henry was awarded the highest “Gold Prize” in the most advanced group level, after completing all seven of the random challenges announced at the competition.
This was after the team’s success in July 2022 when they independently participated in and won the Botball Asia competition. This time, the Botball Global Conference is the final round of the Botball series competition. Botball requires high level programming skills, quick adjustment to various types of challenges, and resilience to withstand the pressure to complete all the assignments in a short period of time.
Austin and Henry’s achievements once again reflects BSB’s values of being ambitious and collaborating effectively. Their success is even more impressive given the fact that Henry is currently in Canada so Austin and Henry needed to collaborate closely to perform under an even more challenging on-site + remote situation, compared to other teams who could all work together on site.

The British School of Beijing recently hosted BritMUN 2025, a Model United Nations (MUN) event that highlights the exceptional organisational and leadership skills of our students. This year's conference was a remarkable success, attracting student delegates from many different schools across Beijing, including the British School of Beijing, the International School of Beijing, Dulwich College Beijing, and Beijing World Youth Academy.
