Nord Anglia International School Shanghai, Pudong is a thriving, academically inclusive school, which welcomes children aged 2 to 18.
Our goal is to provide an exceptional learning experience for every child, which is why we carefully review each student’s application form before offering them a place.
If your child is joining us in Year 7 or above, we might arrange for them to sit an online assessment, which will help us to plan the perfect learning pathway for them.
We believe that students learn best alongside classmates at a similar stage of development and maturity, so we keep children within their correct age group. Please see our table below for full details.

NAIS Pudong is an English-speaking school, and so possessing a good level of English is a distinct advantage. However, students join us from all over the world, and we’re committed to providing specialist English as an Additional Language (EAL) classes for children who need them.
We understand that some students may need additional learning support. Our dedicated Learning Support Coordinator will work with your family to discuss your requirements and, if possible,arrange an Individual Education Plan (IEP) so that your child can join, and thrive, at our school.
Itisn’t always possible, however, for NAIS Pudong to support a student who hasadditionaleducational needs. If this is the case, we’ll work with thefamily to find the right solution for them.
