Dear Parents,

What another wonderful week we’ve had in School. The children have been busy exploring, creating, and sharing their talents, and we’re delighted to share some of the highlights with you.

A Magical Performance at the Sai Kung Community Centre

This week, our Reception classes had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Sai Kung Community Centre to perform their annual play, The Magic Paintbrush. Carefully planned and prepared by Lu Laoshi, the children brought this enchanting story to life, following the adventures of Shen, a kind-hearted girl who uses her magical paintbrush to help feed her hungry village. The children’s confidence and enthusiasm shone through as they sang, acted, and shared their creativity with the elderly residents—who were absolutely delighted! A heartfelt thank you to all the parent helpers who joined us on the day; your support made the event extra special and memorable for everyone.

Exciting New ECAs in Full Swing!

Our extracurricular activities (ECAs) are well underway, and we’re thrilled to introduce two brand-new clubs this term:

🌿 Wild Explorers – Drawing on the principles of Forest School, this outdoor adventure encourages children to connect with nature while developing key skills. The children have been exploring our very own 'Secret Garden,' where they’ve begun learning about the 5 Cs—Compassion, Control, Catalyst, Community (or Companion), and Consciousness. Last week, they focused on community and consciousness, working together to observe, share, and explore their natural surroundings. The joy and curiosity they show while discovering bugs, plants, and hidden treasures in the garden is truly wonderful to see!

🎨 Clay Creators – There’s something magical about working with clay—the way it can be squished, rolled, pinched, and shaped into endless possibilities. In this new ECA, the children have been fully immersed in their creativity, experimenting with different techniques to bring their ideas to life. From twisting clay into slithering snakes to crafting delicate nests, mythical mermaids, and expressive faces, each child has approached their creations with such individuality and imagination. It’s been a joy to watch their confidence grow as they explore the tactile and sensory joys of clay.
