Dear Parents,
The past month at NAISHK Sai Kung was bustling with engaging events and enriching experiences for our students. As we look back on March and April, I am thrilled to share some highlights and extend a warm invitation to the upcoming events in our school over the Summer Term.
Enrichment Week
Enrichment Week marked the perfect conclusion to our Spring term, offering our students a diverse range of activities. From Drama workshops with Ms Vevers and theatre productions, to close encounters with fascinating animals during Animal Adventures, our students embraced new learning opportunities with enthusiasm. Additionally, they explored the realms of Music, movement, and expression alongside Ms. Martin and embarked on special trips to Kidztopia (Nursery and Reception) and Kadoorie Farm (Year 1), creating lasting memories with their classmates.
The week culminated in our Picnic in the Playground - Sai Kung Showcase 2025. Our school community came together for a morning filled with singing, musical performances, captivating displays of Kung Fu and Jujitsu by our talented students, and shared enjoyment, culminating in a delightful picnic. Congratulations to all our students who showcased their talents individually and collectively with their classmates.
World Earth Day
Returning from the Easter break, our focus shifted to World Earth Day, prompting reflections on environmental stewardship. Through engaging activities, discussions on sustainability, and a visit from Kenny ‘The recycling man’, to educate our students on recycling, reinforcing the importance of caring for our planet.
ECAs
As we step into the Summer Term, we are excited to launch our Extracurricular Activities (ECAs), including the new and highly anticipated Wild Explorers program, emphasising outdoor education and exploration.
Please take note of the upcoming events for the Summer Term:
School Nurse
One final note, I am thrilled to introduce our newest addition to the NAIS Sai Kung community, School Nurse Rayanne Liu. Rayanne brings a wealth of experience to our healthcare team, ensuring the well-being of our students remains paramount. On Wednesday 30th, we bid farewell to Nurse Ryan, who embarks on a new journey with The Hong Kong Jockey Club, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for his care and support to our NAIS Sai Kung School.
The Summer term ahead holds exciting adventures for our students, and I look forward to the seeing our students blossom and grow over this final term. Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Yours sincerely,
Ruth Hanson
