The Simon Lawrence Library hosted the annual “EE Day” where Y12 students started their IB Extended Essay journey.
The Simon Lawrence Library invited all our Y12 students to the annual “EE Day”, hosted by the IB Extended Essay coordinator, Ms Claire. The students spent the day learning about the many aspects of the extended essay, which is an independent, self-directed piece of research, culminating in a 4,000-word papers and is a vital component of the IB Diploma. At the end of the last school year, our current Y12 students gave the Library suggestions on popular topics for the Extended Essay and the Library has ordered many new books on these subjects which are now all available for students to borrow to aid in their research. The Library continues to supports students’ during their EE journey by making available as many books as possible on their chosen subjects. In addition, the Library system, Destiny, provides them with diverse features including citation and reviews in the new interface, Destiny Discover, so that, with their username and password, students can explore the numerous features at their disposal. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. DK at [email protected].
At St Andrews Bangkok, we believe that every student deserves to feel seen, valued, and included both inside and outside the classroom. That’s why we are incredibly proud to introduce the Friendship Benches project, an initiative designed to foster connection, kindness, and community spirit across the school.
From 25th May to 27th May, St Andrews International School Bangkok proudly hosted the 2025 Nord Anglia SEA STEAM Festival. Students from across Southeast Asia came together for three inspiring days of creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving. This year’s big question: “How can we reduce or repurpose school waste to create a lasting impact in our communities and environment?”
From cultural celebrations and hands-on STEAM challenges to expert talks and a final showcase of student-led projects, the festival was a true celebration of innovation and sustainability.
NAE Global Campus received a staggering 3,300 entries from 66 Nord Anglia schools all around the world, and one student from STA shone bright, winning Best in Show in the Art Music category: a big congratulations to Freya in Year 8 for her truly outstanding achievement and stellar performance!
