NAISAK hosted an energetic and joyful celebration of movement and creativity with MOVE '25, the first-ever QPPSA event dedicated to Key Stage 1 students in Qatar. Bringing together six schools, the festival marked a significant milestone in the local dance and performing arts scene for younger students.
The event featured a collective choreography set to Space Jam, followed by a freestyle segment where each school nominated one dancer to represent them. This freestyle component added a fresh twist to the program, encouraging individuality and expression.
Each school then took to the stage to perform their group routines, and in a celebration of effort and talent, every group was awarded a trophy in a unique category. Awards were judged and voted on by representatives from each school.
NAISAK’s own Key Stage 1 Dance Company took home the “Rising Stars” trophy, a proud moment for students and staff alike. Despite a tight rehearsal schedule, the students delivered a standout performance, showcasing their dedication and potential.
Reflecting on the success of MOVE 25, NAISAK Movement Teacher Ms. Victoria Hughes hopes to expand the event in the future. “Hopefully next year, QPPSA MOVE will be even bigger and better – and may even include secondary schools,” she shared.
With its vibrant atmosphere, supportive community, and enthusiastic performers, MOVE 25 set the stage for a growing culture of performing arts for younger students in Qatar – and it's just getting started.
