Back in November 2022, our students celebrated World Children’s Day - UNICEF's annual day of action for children, by children. Every November 20th we celebrate this day by turning the world blue in support of children's rights and provide platforms to raise the voices of children and young people on the issues they care about.
Furthermore, in November, we had our Global Campus Sports 2km virtual race which took place at the Moscow Velotrack. Well done to all the resilient athletes who took place.
Our first annual Global Campus Day, last term, was a success. During this day, students from Years 5 - 9 became fully engaged on the platform; completing tasks which encompasses one part of Global Campus, either STEAM, UNICEF or Julliard related.
What’s happening on Global Campus this Term?
MIT Abstracts: February
MIT Abstracts are an exciting opportunity for our students to listen to a current student, professor, or alumni of MIT about their latest research and pioneering work.
In February, join Glaciologist Joanna Millstein, a Ph.D. Candidate in MIT Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, as she tackles big questions about glacier dynamics that will help us understand how the changing ice sheets will affect the planet.
Global Swimming Gala
In March, our Global Swimming Gala will take place. Students can participate in four different races: 25m Individual, 4x25m Relay, 100m Individual, and the 4x100m Relay! Open to all ages, students can compete against others from our family of NAE schools. More information will be announced soon regarding this!
GC Senior: Newsroom
A reminder that students have until Tuesday 28th February to send in their articles to the editorial team of our Student Newsroom! The best articles will then be selected to feature in the Spring 2023 edition of the GC Student Newspaper. Please send your article to Mr Ralph on or before the deadline.
Ask The Artist
"Ask the Artist" is an opportunity for students to ask questions to Juilliard Artists who have chosen the performing arts as a career.
This term’s artist is Jo Mei, a Juilliard-trained actress who has starred in films, television series and theatre productions! Jo stars in and co-wrote the award-winning film A Picture of You, currently streaming on major platforms. Students will be able to learn more about Jo, watch some of her performances and ask her questions that they would like Courtney to answer.

Have a great rest of the term and happy Global Campusing!
At school, every day counts. Each lesson, each discussion, each interaction helps shape a child’s learning journey, and when students miss school, they miss more than just a lesson. They miss the connections, the confidence-building, and the small but vital steps that lead to long-term success.
It’s often said that “80% of success is just showing up,” and in education, that couldn’t be more true.
Music is often called the universal language, capable of expressing what words cannot and connecting us across different cultures and experiences. Whether you're a passionate listener or a dedicated musician, the study of music offers profound insights and benefits that resonate throughout life.
