Secondary children have been helping out on the rooftop at lunch time and at primary CCAs. Elsewhere some of our Y2 children have been helping the very youngest in school, Pre-Nursery, to select books in the library. It is always heart-warming to see the caring and protective side of the children come to the fore when they are together with younger students.
We also held Christmas crafts with Y6. Amongst the glitter, glue and giant red pom poms, there was a lot of teamwork and collaboration to make some very special ornaments and accessories. Year 6 were calm and helpful throughout the afternoon whilst the children in year 1 and 2 were thrilled to welcome their visitors. There was even time for a joint singalong to some favourite Christmas songs as well.
