Inspired by Jack and the Flum Flum Tree, our Year 1 children created their own colourful patchwork sacks!
The children practised a variety of hands-on skills throughout the activity. They developed their fine motor skills while cutting and arranging the colourful patches and honed their hand-eye coordination while gluing their patches together.
Not only did this project encourage practical crafting techniques, but it also fostered teamwork, as classmates exchanged ideas on colours and patterns to bring their designs to life.
The class was buzzing with excitement and laughter as the children shared stories about what they would pack if they were going on an adventure like Jack! It was a fun-filled project that allowed our Year 1s to express themselves creatively while learning valuable skills.
