This week has been all about celebrating STEAM as the students have jumped into STEAM week headfirst, with an experiment to demonstrate how flowers ‘drink’ water! Dyeing various water colours, the students observed white roses changing colour throughout the week, having discussions about how and why they thought this was happening.
As STEAM activities combine Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths, and Arts, the children have engaged in a wide variety of activities to encourage them to problem-solve creatively and use their blossoming critical thinking skills. They have taken part in a magic milk experiment and Coca-Cola explosion experiments, and are looking forward to making balloon rockets and participating in other activities during the rest of the week.
They have been displaying their creativity while spending time in the Early Years Maker Space, making different models using junk modeling materials and other resources.

Our young adventurers in Year 3 took on two days full of fun, laughter, learning, and a touch of bravery on their Residential Trip this week. They returned with stories, smiles, and some seriously impressive new skills.
