The Mid-Autumn Festival is the second most important festival in China after the Spring Festival. This week, Primary students in Chinese classrooms celebrated the wonderful Mid-Autumn Festival with various activities.
Year 1 and Year 2 children have listened to the Chinese traditional legend story about the moon. They enjoyed the story and have learnt why and how Chinese people celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival. They made lollypop rabbit and tumbler rabbit, which brought the children so much fun.
Mooncakes are the most representative food for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Year 6 students tried to make mooncakes by themselves. They kneaded the dough, put the filling in and shaped the mooncakes with molds. Through practice, the children further understood the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Students in Years 3, 4 and 5 also made different handcrafts related to the Mid-Autumn Festival. They all enjoyed the activities very much.

Our Year 1 and 2 students shone bright at this year’s KS1 Sports Day, showing off their team spirit, determination, and impressive sporting skills! From running and jumping to throwing and space hopping – they did it all with enthusiasm and heart.
Our young adventurers in Year 3 took on two days full of fun, laughter, learning, and a touch of bravery on their Residential Trip this week. They returned with stories, smiles, and some seriously impressive new skills.
