Nursery children talked about the story ‘The Colour Monster’. They sing songs and chants about different feelings. They also talked about things that make us feel happy, sad, angry, or scared. The children used a variety of expressions to express their understanding of different emotions.
Year 1 (non-native group) children learned animals. They learned 4 key words and practiced how to use them in sentences. The children reviewed the animal vocabulary with a variety of fun activities.
In Year 2 (native group), the children learned new Chinese characters. They practised writing Chinese characters in various interesting ways. Some used Lego spelling, some wrote with their bodies and some wrote with a whiteboard. They helped and cooperated with each other.
