What an incredible Thursday we’ve had in Performing Arts this week as we hosted the first live visit of the Juilliard team of specialists from New York.
This time we welcomed 3 of them: Ashley Renee Watkins – Music Specilist, Nick Mahmat - Drama Specialist and Salla Saarikangas-Kramer- Dance Specialist. Not only they had a chance to meet with the SLT team and Head of Performing Arts to discuss the plan for our collaboration, but they spent a solid part of the day in classrooms with our BSB students.
Year 3 Hornbills had a Dance lesson and worked on 'Possible Pathways' activity, whilst Year 4 Kingfishers enjoyed having 'Fun with Offbeats'.
In the afternoon the Year 5 Kookaburras performed their unique composition inspired by 'Battle Sounds' in the Hall. Juilliard Specialists were impressed and helped us understand how to further extend our musical parts and come up with even better version of our fantastic piece.
Finally, we had a brilliant session with Year 4 Storks based around Q&As for the Juilliard team.

Our Year 1 and 2 students shone bright at this year’s KS1 Sports Day, showing off their team spirit, determination, and impressive sporting skills! From running and jumping to throwing and space hopping – they did it all with enthusiasm and heart.
Our young adventurers in Year 3 took on two days full of fun, laughter, learning, and a touch of bravery on their Residential Trip this week. They returned with stories, smiles, and some seriously impressive new skills.
