In Year 2 this week we have been learning all about 3D shapes. The children have been using their prior knowledge to name 2D and 3D shapes.
On our lesson on Monday, the children used their Be Creative skills, cotton buds and home-made play-doh to make 3D shapes. This gave them the opportunity to count the number of sides and vertices each shape has.
Can you guess how many vertices a cube has? Do you know how many faces a cylinder has? If you pass by a Year 2 child, be sure to ask them because I am sure they will be able to give you the answer!
