The Year 1 children are saving the polars bears by becoming superheroes!
This cross curricular unit has the Year 1 children using their Be Ambitious skills. In Topic, we have learned how the polar bear’s home is endangered and as a result there is less food for them to eat. In our English lesson, the Year 1 children are writing comic strips using superheroes to save the polar bears with their superpowers!
The children have learned the features of comic strips and how to add extra details, like speech bubbles and onomatopoeias.
What can you do to save the polar bear? When you are at home, you can turn off the lights when you leave a room. You can also, turn off the tap and conserve water. How will you save the polar bears?

Our young adventurers in Year 3 took on two days full of fun, laughter, learning, and a touch of bravery on their Residential Trip this week. They returned with stories, smiles, and some seriously impressive new skills.
