Reception have enjoyed diving into learning about our ocean-themed topic centred around the stories Sharing a Shell and Commotion in the Ocean.
They have taken part in a wide variety of activities centred around the stories, engaging in role-playing experiences, learning new ocean animal vocabulary, recognising initial sounds in the names of characters, and creating artwork centred around the sea. They have brought the stories to life through their hands-on learning experiences!
Through working together on a variety of projects as well as taking part in independent work, the students have expanded their English vocabulary, becoming familiar with the names of ocean animals, learning fun facts about them, and have incorporated their learning into their play, applying their knowledge in their everyday lives.
One of the highlights for the students this week was creating their own sea creature that represents their class, getting creative by utilising an array of resources and materials!

Our Year 1 and 2 students shone bright at this year’s KS1 Sports Day, showing off their team spirit, determination, and impressive sporting skills! From running and jumping to throwing and space hopping – they did it all with enthusiasm and heart.
Our young adventurers in Year 3 took on two days full of fun, laughter, learning, and a touch of bravery on their Residential Trip this week. They returned with stories, smiles, and some seriously impressive new skills.
