Here’s a round-up of what’s been happening in our community and a look at what’s coming up next. Thank you, as always, for your energy, ideas, and support -  it really makes a difference.

Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s PTA Newsletter!

1. Teachers’ Day- 3rd October
Teachers’ Day is just around the corner! We will be sharing the WhatsApp group link to help coordinate plans - please do join in. Every little contribution helps us celebrate our teachers in style. Parents are warmly invited to bring in breakfast items for our teachers to share - think of it as a little bake-off to spoil them with treats.

The second part of the celebration will be the children showing their thanks in their own way. Their artwork will be showcased, helping us create a big “Thank You” art piece in the Bistro. Please share student artwork in the boxes as indicated: the more we receive, the bigger and brighter the display!

A BIG reminder: Walk to School Day is coming up next week! We look forward to seeing many families join in this fun, healthy start to the day.

3. Shoe Collection – New Record!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to our recent shoe drive. Special thanks go to the organisers, Judith Scheidler-Orban and Szilvia Veres, for all their effort in making it happen. Together, we collected an incredible 650 pairs of good-quality shoes that will help so many people in need - a record high for donations!

8. Világszép Contemporary Connections Exhibition

The Világszép Contemporary Connections” exhibition has opened at the Ludwig Museum to mark the 15th anniversary of the Világszép Foundation for Children in State Care. This inspiring project brought together 24 renowned artists and 77 young people, creating unique new works born from their shared connections and creativity.

It is a truly moving celebration, offering children with fewer opportunities the chance to express themselves through art and to see their voices shine alongside established artists. A testament to the power of creativity and collaboration, this exhibition is not to be missed. Open until 12 October.
