Year 2 Trip To Children's Railway

Our Year 2 school trip to the Children's Railway this week was a great experience. We started our journey at Hűvösvölgy and made our way up to Széchenyi-hegy. The excitement was evident as the children played I-spy, spotting different train features and taking in the beautiful forest scenery. One of the best moments on the train was passing through the tunnel - who knew that being plunged into darkness would be so fun! After reaching Széchenyi-hegy, we took a break for a picnic and some playtime in the sunshine at a nearby park. The kids enjoyed their snack boxes and then worked together in some creative play, building structures out of large sticks, cairns out of stones, and inventing new games among the trees. Mr Balint's slackline was also a huge hit! Then, we travelled back along the railway, chatting happily and waving to all those working at the stations (children like us!) It was a fantastic end to our Transport topic and one we hope the children remember for a long time!
