On 11th February 2025, we proudly hosted Girls in Tech Day, an exciting event inspired by the STEAM Club from Global Campus Women & Girls in Science: Technology for Wellbeing. This initiative encouraged students to explore the transformative power of technology and its role in shaping a better future.
The day kicked off with an engaging introduction by our IB Computer Science students Calliope, Sutian(Susie) and Deshika, followed by an inspiring talk from the CanSat representatives Székely Anna Krisztina and Timea Meskó , who introduced students to satellite technology and its applications. The hands-on Programming Workshop in HTML & CSS and Python allowed students to get creative with web development and problem solving, while the Robotics Workshop provided an exciting opportunity to experiment with coding and automation.
A popular highlight was the 3D Printing Workshop, where students watched the fascinating process of 3D printing in action. They learned how digital models are transformed into real-world objects, seeing first-hand how layers of material build up to create a final product.
Girls also tackled a forward-thinking challenge:
How can Robotics, AI, or new technology solve global problems in innovative ways?
What would the "product of the future" look like?
They showcased exceptional creativity and critical thinking by designing prototypes of mobile applications aimed at solving real-world issues. Their ideas ranged from AI-driven healthcare solutions to robotics-powered sustainability initiatives, demonstrating their ability to innovate and apply technology for good.
The event wrapped up with a Careers in STEM session, inspiring students to explore the many opportunities available in technology.
Girls in Tech Day was a resounding success, empowering students to think boldly, problem-solve creatively, and see themselves as the tech leaders of the future!

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of participating in the Nord Anglia Snowsport Expedition in the breathtaking region of Villars-sur-Ollon, in the Swiss Alps. This was the very first year our school organised an expedition like this, so it was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
Our Year 2 school trip to the Children's Railway this week was a great experience. We started our journey at Hűvösvölgy and made our way up to Széchenyi-hegy.
