On Thursday, the Year 6 students invited parents into school to share their work on biomes. The students had spent weeks researching their biome before displaying what they had learnt. There was lots of interesting detail on display; like what plants you might find there, what the climate is, the types of wildlife that live there and the location of the biome; as well as some art to bring it to life. It was also an opportunity to show their latest piece of writing, which is linked to Northern Lights, by Philip Pullman. The piece they wrote focused on setting writing. When writing their own setting for Lyra, the protagonist of the book, they used their biome and leveraged the research they did for that. It was lovely to see so many parents in attendance, thank you!

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of participating in the Nord Anglia Snowsport Expedition in the breathtaking region of Villars-sur-Ollon, in the Swiss Alps. This was the very first year our school organised an expedition like this, so it was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
Our Year 2 school trip to the Children's Railway this week was a great experience. We started our journey at Hűvösvölgy and made our way up to Széchenyi-hegy.
