On our most recent Hungarian trip the Year 12 students had a chance to explore the 20th century art movements in Hungary and also get a glance into the life of, one of Hungary’s greatest poets, Ady Endre. First, the class visited Ady Endre’s late apartment, which is a beautifully preserved space that offers a glimpse into the late poet’s everyday life. From there the group went to the Magyar Nemzeti Galéria, where they learned more about the Hungarian modernism in the early 20th century. The exhibition brought to life works of the Nyugat literary movement and the ‘Nyolcak’, a pioneer group of avant-garde artists, whose bold and colourful creations reshaped Hungarian art.

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of participating in the Nord Anglia Snowsport Expedition in the breathtaking region of Villars-sur-Ollon, in the Swiss Alps. This was the very first year our school organised an expedition like this, so it was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
Our Year 2 school trip to the Children's Railway this week was a great experience. We started our journey at Hűvösvölgy and made our way up to Széchenyi-hegy.
