The much anticipated and twice postponed performance of Journey's End finally took place this week. Deftly directed by Mr. Kirk Wootton, soldiers' lives in the trenches of the First World War, were made vivid and poignant through the exceptional acting from the cast of students from Years 10, 11 and 12.
The complex and often contradictory character of Stanhope was made believable and sympathetic through the nuanced performance of Bruno Barath. Playing his staunchest supporter and friend, Rebecca Majosi, in the role of Osborne, brought out the character's avuncular qualities
Despite the bleak and unrelenting themes of the play, there were many moments of humour too, especially deriving from the characters Mason and Trotter played by Can Ege Demis and Adam Lakatos.
Special mention should be made of Ralf Yildirim and Anya Khelifi Coates who stepped up very recently to take up roles.

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of participating in the Nord Anglia Snowsport Expedition in the breathtaking region of Villars-sur-Ollon, in the Swiss Alps. This was the very first year our school organised an expedition like this, so it was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
Our Year 2 school trip to the Children's Railway this week was a great experience. We started our journey at Hűvösvölgy and made our way up to Széchenyi-hegy.
