We visited the Benedict Abbey in Pannonhalma. Medieval Christian Literature is a part of the year 10 curriculum, so we went to the first Hungarian monastery, and learned about the monks’ lives. In the huge library, we were astonished by the beauty of hand-written and illustrated books as well as an abundance of codexes. As we also learned about the beginnings of Hungarian literature, we viewed the first Latin text containing Hungarian words and the foundation letter of the Tihany Benedict Abbey written in 1055. In Pannonhalma, the monks don’t only teach, but they craft various products out of organic herbs as well as chocolates, so we also tried those.

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of participating in the Nord Anglia Snowsport Expedition in the breathtaking region of Villars-sur-Ollon, in the Swiss Alps. This was the very first year our school organised an expedition like this, so it was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
Our Year 2 school trip to the Children's Railway this week was a great experience. We started our journey at Hűvösvölgy and made our way up to Széchenyi-hegy.
