Firstly, meeting new teachers as they arrived at the airport full of anticipation and enthusiasm for their new postings . Then, meeting all the BIS HCMC staff for the first time and getting to know them in school and at various social functions. This week, the focus has been on students and parents. I have attended whole school assemblies at each of the three campuses and had the opportunity of introducing myself to the students. I have also attended two parent Coffee Mornings at the TX and AP campuses.
Each one of these experiences has been very special. They have made me realise that a very unique and vibrant community exists at BIS HCMC. It is evident that there is a feeling of great happiness at the school and I have to say, I already feel a part of BIS HCMC due to such a warm welcome from everyone. The key objective now is to settle all the students back into school life and for me to get to know the school community better in the coming months. There is no doubt that this is a wonderful school and all of us here are certainly committed to ensuring its continued development and success.
I would like to wish you all a most pleasant weekend.
Mr Anthony Rowlands, Principal
With over 1,200 students, staff, and parents participating in the 5km run or walk, the event was a true reflection of the school’s commitment to fostering a strong sense of community.
What do you do when you have school uniforms that are now too small, or you no longer need them, but you don’t want to simply throw them away? For BIS HCMC parents, Bibi, Margot, and Ying, this dilemma sparked an inspiring solution—the Parent Uniform Upcycling Team.
