Admissions are now open for 2025/2026
In previous years, the Education Perfect International Language Championships lasted for one week, but this year it took place over just two days, so the students had to hit the ground running.
Teamwork really did make the dream work on this occasion, as the students did just that, rallied together and rocketed to a 1st place lead on day one. The enthusiasm and tension were palpable throughout as other schools’ points totals increased overnight, but by the end of day two and after over 700 combined hours of hard graft, our lead was quite simply unassailable. Once again, our students did us and themselves proud by gaining the top spot globally out of 134 schools!
The statistics speak for themselves: with a combined score of almost 200 000, we beat 2nd place by over 55,000 points, answered half a million of the 5.5 million questions answered by all schools, and in addition to being the top-scoring school globally, achieved 2nd place in French, Spanish, Arabic and Italian.
Students are also awarded certificates for their efforts after gaining 500 (Credit), 1000 (Bronze), 1500 (Silver) and so on up to over 6000 points (Elite). 83 BIS Abu Dhabi students gained Credit, 19 Bronze, 11 Silver and 2 Gold certificates – namely Haaym (8C) and Matteo (8B). A fantastic effort all round, especially by Year 8!
Special congratulations also go to Elyssar (9B) for achieving an Emerald Certificate after gaining over 4000 points and Dongha (9B) for achieving an Elite certificate with a massive 6890 points, making him the 9th top-scoring student globally!
Thanks to everyone for their collective efforts, well done to all who participated and doing us proud in yet another nail-biting, edifying and ultimately satisfying Education Perfect competition!
The British International School Abu Dhabi (BIS Abu Dhabi) was deeply honoured to welcome Her Highness Sheikha Shamma Bint Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan to its campus on Thursday, 17 April 2025. At The British International School Abu Dhabi, we believe that education is not just about academic success—it’s about nurturing compassionate, responsible young people who understand the importance of giving back. This Ramadan, I have been truly moved by the way our students have embraced the spirit of the holy month, demonstrating kindness, generosity, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Inspired by the latest Nord Anglia INSIGHTS article exploring why the Early Years are the most important years of a child’s education, we know that a child’s most significant learning happens during this time - in ways that are not always immediately visible.
