Dance in a Day
The ‘Dance in a Day’ project was a boy’s dance project that took place last week. Students from Year 5 – Year 7 were invited to work with Nadar Musharbash, a professional choreographer in Hip Hop. Nader has worked with world famous artists such as Rita Ora, Beyonce and Pink as well as major TV production; X Factor UK, BRIT Awards and MTV Awards. Nadar brought his Hip Hop chorography for students to learn in a 1-hour workshop. He was very popular and worked the boys intensively. After the Hip Hop workshops, students started a creative session based on the stimulus ‘Going to Work’ by L S Lowry. By the afternoon students were able to link movement material together to form a 4-minute dance as a ‘Boys Dance Company’.
The Boys Dance Company came together again on the Thursday after school to improve the transitions of the choreography. Later this week they will continue to develop the quality of the movement material in preparation for the ‘Art Alive’ Performing Arts show next week. This has been a fabulous project encouraging boys to be creative, physical, and confident in performing.
Please do support the project and purchase a ticket for ‘Art Alive’ from the main reception 30 AED Adults and 20 AED children.

The British International School Abu Dhabi (BIS Abu Dhabi) was deeply honoured to welcome Her Highness Sheikha Shamma Bint Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan to its campus on Thursday, 17 April 2025. Her Highness, President & CEO of the UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators (UICCA) and The Climate Tribe, is a distinguished entrepreneur, thought leader, and researcher with a deep commitment to sustainability, climate change, and gender equity.
At The British International School Abu Dhabi, we believe that education is not just about academic success—it’s about nurturing compassionate, responsible young people who understand the importance of giving back. This Ramadan, I have been truly moved by the way our students have embraced the spirit of the holy month, demonstrating kindness, generosity, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Inspired by the latest Nord Anglia INSIGHTS article exploring why the Early Years are the most important years of a child’s education, we know that a child’s most significant learning happens during this time - in ways that are not always immediately visible.
