We are delighted with the way our students have started the new academic year. We often talk about our school being a special learning community and one which we are all immensely proud of. Last week we were delighted to have been featured in the Top School of 2017 Awards for the UAE.
Given the hundreds of schools across the UAE who were considered as part of this process, we were delighted that the special qualities of our school were recognized by not only our student and parent community, but also following a visit from one of their representatives earlier in the year. A number of factors contributed to our outstanding ranking of 6th overall and we were particularly delighted with some of the following quotes:
“A school that encourages an exploration of the wonder of education for its own sake-but in the context of delivering a rounded whole child education in which morals, values and building personal character are seen as equally important parts of the educational mix.”
“Happiness at the school comes naturally.”
The report praises the high academic challenge the IB Diploma presents and we are rightly proud of the year on year improvement our students have achieved as a result of their dedication and hard work. The concluding statement in the report states that “Parents are likely to be met by an intoxicating culture of achievement, creativity and buzz based on our experience and visit.”
With your support and our desire to continually improve, we will further challenge all of our students and aim to build upon the many strengths we have already. Being ambitious for our students and our school remains at the core of everything we do and with your help and the fantastic team we have working at our school, we look forward to what promises to be another fantastic year for BIS Abu Dhabi.
